Pentecost

Pentecost is one of the most joyous times of the year for the Christian Church to celebrate and engage its local community. And it's not just a day long, or even a week long, celebration. The season of Pentecost runs from the end of Easter to the beginning of Advent, enabling the church to consider many different ways of marking the work of the Holy Spirit in our midst. Take a look at some of these great resources, and get in touch if you have some resources that have worked for you.

Thy Kingdom Come - Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement, which invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost (in 2019 this will be May 30-June 9) for more people to come to know Jesus Christ. What started out as an invitation from the Archbishops’ of Canterbury and York in 2016 to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. The hope is that people will commit to pray with God’s world-wide family - as a church, individually or as a family; churches will hold prayer events, such as 24-7 prayer, prayer stations and prayer walks, across the UK and in other parts of the world;
 and people will be empowered through prayer by the Holy Spirit, finding new confidence to be witnesses for Jesus Christ.

Thy Kingdom Come have a wide variety of excellent resources to help individuals, families and churches take part. There are Church Packs, worship, prayers and service templates, tips on running 24-7 prayer, prayer walking, novel ideas and activities for families and young people and services including the new Kingdom Kit & Messy Church ... and much more. Take a look.
